Cauliflower Steak with Clever Carrot

Cauliflower Steak with Clever Carrot

Here's a dish that's easy to make, as long as we manage to cut the cauliflower in a way that it doesn't fall apart and we can form a steak out of it. Usually, you can get 2-3 slices out of one cauliflower that don't fall apart (although 3 is with a dose of luck 🙂). These steaks then need to be marinated, in a set of spices, oil / olive oil and in my case usually in soy sauce. The purée is, of course, the most normal thing in the world.

But there's also the carrot! Carrot with a tail, also the most normal thing in the world, but how rarely seen in stores! As for the cauliflower itself, you can bake it or fry it, both versions are good, although the baked one is probably healthier. And it's worth putting it in the marinade a day earlier - because it absorbs it poorly and if marinated for a short time, it won't take on the flavor.
