Gnocchi alla Sorrentina

It's amazing how Italians have turned simple cooking into an art form. I had some leftover gnocchi from a previous meal, and since it's chilly, it's worth having something nourishing and warm.
The simplest mechanism - we drench the gnocchi in tomato sauce (passata, garlic, onion), sprinkle with cheese, put it in the oven and after taking it out, sprinkle with fresh (if you can find it) basil. It turns out that such a simply composed dish has its name: Gnocchi alla Sorrentina 馃檪 It also turns out that everyone loves the dish, regardless of age, and I had to make a second pan. Try, next time you make gnocchi, to make an extra portion and serve it this way, it's a cool thing.
