Roasted Potatoes - with Thyme and a Mix of Spices

You know the trick with sugar, right? Pouring boiling water and sugar over sliced potatoes does something to them, making them bake nicely and crisp on the outside later on 馃檪 After the sugar trick, it's worth covering the potatoes with a marinade.
It can vary, but I most often just add salt and red pepper so that no one can say it doesn't taste good to them. In every store, you can also find 'chicken seasoning', which I often use for these types of marinades.
